Sources indicated that Intel will be revealing two of its Skylake S processors on August 5th. The Core i5-6600k and the Core i7-6700K along with Intel Z710 chipset motherboards would be showcased first. Both these variants have 95w TDP.
In time, certain Skylake processors such as Core i7-6700, Core i5-6600 and Core i5-6400 will be revealed in IFA trade show in Berlin along with its power efficiency T-Series CPU Core i5-6400T, i5-6600T and the Core i7-6700T . It is also said that Intel will be revealed Intel H170 and B150 desktop chipsets at the same time. The Intel H110 chipset will be released in either September or October. This chipset launch will be matched with Core i3, Pentium and Celeron series socket processors.
Earlier, we posted news about Core i7-6700K’s performance which showed a very healthy boost compared to Core i7-4790K from its Haswell Refresh lineup. The Skylake is a completely new CPU design along with newer chipset variants and the new LGA 1151 socket. It was also pointed out that certain unlocked Skylake S processors may not be bundled with its stock CPU heatsink.
